Made from a cigar box, this piece was commissioned by a fellow Folk Artists sister as a birthday present. This piece features a Ewe/Sheep on the top and has "Pennies" wrapping around the sides. The lid lifts off to reveal an interior that is painted and has a pin cushion attached to the bottom of the box. A vintage "working" pair of brass scissors originally a Cracker Jack's prize hangs off of the pin cushion. The lid is lined with off-white handmade wool felt and features an 1800's trade card and a small rusted bell.
Approximately 85 hand-cut and carved pieces of wood were used in creating this one-of-a-kind work of art.
